We had a charger installed, an Evnex E2 Core for the Atto 2. Superb job, nicely done, even arranged for a plaster hiccup to be fixed same day. Also installed a surge protector in the fuse box to protect all appliances. Both times on time, efficient, good value and great guys, highly recommend.

I purchased an EVNEX Smart Charger for my EV, and Ben is their authorized electrician to do these installs in my area. He did an excellent job and answered all my questions patiently. He noticed that my switchboard needed an upgrade and suggested some new RCBOs. Ben wasn't pushy at all.

Can I get an EV charger in a Fitzroy terrace?
Only if the car can sit somewhere on your property. If it parks on the street the answer is no, and we will tell you that before charging you for a site visit.
Do I need owners' corporation approval?
If the work touches common property, wiring outside your own walls or the building's supply, yes. We give you the scope, the licence details and the insurance certificate they will ask for.
There is no roof space. Can I still have downlights?
Often not, and we will not pretend otherwise. Surface-mounted track, wall lights or running the cable during a renovation are the realistic options, and each looks better than a badly hacked ceiling.
Does the heritage overlay affect electrical work?
Inside, rarely. Outside it can, because anything visible from the street may be restricted. We work around it by choosing positions that do not need a permit wherever we can.
