Accredited by Evnex, not just stocking them
Evnex only issue their certified installer badge to electricians they have trained on the hardware and the commissioning software. It means we sit on their installer register, we reach their technical line rather than the public one, and a warranty claim on our work goes through without an argument about who fitted it.
It matters more than it sounds. Most Evnex faults we get called to on other people's work are not faulty chargers. They are a current transformer clamped on the wrong conductor, or load management never configured, so the charger either trips the house or quietly never ramps up.

We look at your main switch rating, spare capacity and RCD arrangement before quoting. This is what stops a cheap quote turning into an expensive surprise halfway through.

Quote the whole job, fixed
Charger, cable run, circuit, mounting, commissioning and certificate in one number - not an hourly rate that grows once we open the wall.

Run a dedicated circuit
A charger needs its own protected circuit with the correct RCD type. We run it, terminate it and test it to AS/NZS 3000.

Fit and configure overload protection
The current transformer goes on the main supply and is configured against your actual load. Clamped wrong or skipped, the protection does nothing - this is the step most commonly missed.

Set up solar diversion
If you have solar we configure the charger to use surplus generation and stay until we have watched it divert, rather than leaving you to work out the app.

Commission and hand over
Pair it to your account, run a live charge session, walk you through scheduling and issue your certificate of electrical safety. It works the first night, not the third.

It depends on your switchboard and the cable run, which is why we quote per job rather than publishing a number. The three things that move the price most are the distance from the board to the charger, whether the board has spare capacity, and whether the run is through an accessible roof space or has to be surface mounted. We check all three before giving you a fixed price.
What is home overload protection and do I need it?
Your home has a fixed supply capacity. Adding a 32-amp charger to a house already running an oven, air conditioning and hot water can push past it and trip the main breaker. Overload protection measures the whole-of-home draw and automatically reduces the charging current when the house is busy, then puts it back when things quieten down. It means most homes can add a charger without upgrading their supply.
How fast will an Evnex charger charge my car?
A 7.4kW model adds up to 50km of range per hour, so a typical battery fills overnight in around ten hours. The three-phase X22 adds up to 120km per hour where you have three-phase supply. For comparison, a standard three-pin wall plug adds roughly 10km an hour.
Can I add solar charging to the E2 Flex later?
Yes. The Flex ships as a grid charger and solar diversion is available as an upgrade afterwards, so you are not locked out of it by choosing the entry model. If you already have solar on the roof, the E2 Core includes it from the start and is usually the better buy.
Will an Evnex charger work with my EV?
Every model uses a Type 2 connector, which covers effectively every EV sold new in Australia. Some older imports use Type 1, and there is a Type 1 plug option for those. Tell us the make and model when you enquire and we will confirm before quoting.
What is the difference between the E2 Flex and the E2 Core?
The hardware is the same. The Core includes solar diversion out of the box; the Flex charges from the grid and can have solar diversion added later. If you have solar now, choose the Core. If you do not, the Flex costs less today and leaves the door open.
Do I have to buy the charger from you?
No. We are happy to supply and install as one job, or install a unit you have bought yourself. Either way the installation is certified and warranted the same.
